A kopitiam utopia of char kuey teow, prawn mee & pork noodles by day, Plaza Batai's Restoran Shangri-La now seeks to be a paradise by night for bak kut teh, served in claypots with broth (RM14) or dry (RM16), bolstered by add-ons like pork kidney, liver or stomach (RM2-RM10). While Klang purists may quibble, the BKT passes muster for KL. Shangri-La's BKT is offered starting 5pm; the evening's menu is wide - everything from yellow rice wine chicken to lala soup for a potentially soulful dinner.
