This is not a paid advertisement, I have received a set of WMF Perfect Pro 4.5L & 3L Pressure Cooker for product review. Good or bad experiences, it's all written in this blog. Do read through if you are considering to get a new cooking vessel.
This is the WMF Perfect Pro Set 4.5L and 3L Pressure Cooker, comes in a box.
Watch the video to see what's in the box:
If I could only choose ONE cooking vessel to use in my kitchen, for now I would say I want a pressure cooker, a WMF Perfect Pro Pressure Cooker to be precise. Tip top quality and excellent service!
I received this set that comes with a 4.5L and 3L pot. These sizes are perfect for small family like mine - cooking for 3-4 pax. The 4.5L for soup and steamed dish whereas the 3L for braised meat/ stews.
My experience using WMF Perfect Pro Pressure Cooker:
Just like every new pressure cooker user, I have this little fear in me..... is it safe? will it explode? After I did some research online, I am quite confident in it. The key is to choose a brand with good reputation, reliable and good quality control. Of course, most importantly is to follow the instruction as stated in the user manual.
Before I elaborate more on the function of the pressure cooker, I must say the WMF customer service assistant is professionally trained. The staff who was on duty at the counter was able to answer most of my queries (as a new user) and she was so kind to share some cooking tips with me. The first experience upon collection of product is GOOD!
The WMF Perfect Pro Pressure Cooker is a clever pressure cooker that comes with a all-in-one twist knob and it's so easy to use. You don't need to be a genius to operate it. Just follow the simple steps as written in the manual and adjust the cooking time depends on 'what you cook' and you'll get delicious and flavourful dishes within very short time. Yes, it shorten cooking time by 70% .
Here are the simple steps of how to use a pressure cooker:
1. Put all ingredients and water (at least 250ml) in the pot, cover and set the cooking knob 1 or 2.
Knob 1 setting is lower temperature (up to 110'C) for cooking poultry, fish or vegetables like carrot/ potatoes.
Knob 2 setting is higher temperature (up to 119'C) for cooking robust food and meat.
2. Heat up with medium heat until the cooking indicator rises to the assigned heat setting - first ring (knob 1 setting) or second ring (knob 2 setting).
3. Reduce to low heat, set your timer to your desired cooking time.
4. When the cooking is over, turn off heat and wait for the cooking indicator to go back down or turn the knob to 'lock/ unlock' to release pressure. Only open the lid when there's no more pressure in the pot.
I have tried and tasted the food cooked with this cooker, I AM IMPRESSED! For such short time, the flavour that it produced is similar to the long hours cooking.
~ The soup that I normally cook for 2 hours, it can be done in just 30 minutes.
~ Braised meat that I normally cook for 3-4 hours, it can be done in 45 minutes.
~ Sweet soup done in just 15 minutes (I used to cook this in slow cooker that takes at least 4-6 hours)
~ Oxtail soup, the toughest meat that's what I called it. Conventional pot cooking time is about 4 hours to tenderise the meat. Using pressure cooker, it only takes 45 minutes and the meat turned out so tender and flavourful!
~ Steamed dish - meat, potatoes or vegetables.

Alright, now you have read what is good about this pressure cooker. You may want to know what is not-so-good about it? Here you go....
~ These pressure cookers are made of good quality stainless steel (Cromargan 18/10 stainless steel). Just like any other stainless steel pots, when overheated for a prolong time and due to some reaction with the mineral from the food, sometimes you may notice some bluish stains in the pot, as shown in the picture below:
If you happened to have these stains in your pressure cooker, just add some cream of tartar + lemon juice + water, the stains will disappeared within a minute. Watch this video if you are unsure how to do it:
Well, other than this stains that usually do not exist, normally the pressure cooker can be easily cleaned. Just rinse the entire handle with water, wash the rest of the parts (pot, cover and sealing ring) with dish detergent, dry it before storage.
~ The price factor. It's not the cheapest in the market, but it is relatively high quality for the price.
